Reason to Design... #102:
"...SO THAT YOU CAN GROW-UP"
The city has no time for nature. Urban living means people have little outdoor space... These are the words of four MA students of the Industrial Design Engineering department at the Royal College of Art in London, UK. The students - Arthur Schmitt, Sian Smyth, Lucy Helme & Marek Bereza - have designed a gardening system that allows city dwellers to better use limited floor space by helping them to grow gardens vertically. It's called 'Verticulture', holding your prize blooming pogonias to fish bowls and fire wood. Verticulture has an irrigation system to ensure your plants are perfectly watered for those days when city life drags you away from your plant care.
