Shirley 1

Shirley left a host of wee descendants. I noticed them just after I'd buried her. And one of them survived and became Shirley 2. Sitting in the same 2 spots... just like Shirley but smaller. Anyway. she didn't make it to adulthood. We haven't seen her around for a while and today, cleaning my room, I came across her tiny corpse.
I didn't take a picture surprisingly and fleetingly regretted it when I realised. Oh Well.

The other Beastie is in a magic mirror frame so you can see his (?) face. Not the Best picture, was such a beautiful sunny morning, the reflections were ....

I want him I think. He looks suspiciously colourful.

My condolences! We have a similar burial ground in our yard that contains a wide range of 2, 4, 8 and 0 footed friends who have passed through our lives over the years. Nice photographic tribute! danrav · 2011-03-11: 18:56

Great tribute indeed... and I must have missed 'Shirley' so enjoyed looking back to discover who the original was...imagination was in overdrive! #2 I love the elaborate beastie...what an interesting juxtaposition of objects in that window...would love to see inside the shop looks like a veritable Aladin's cave cariad · 2011-03-12: 06:18
