this is a great gallery, i agree to jasmax. pyramids had a lasting effects on my mind since i read :the Alchemist by Paulo Coelho... I guess you have heard of him and the book... the alchemist... is the magical story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who dreams of travelling the world in search of a worldly treasure as fabulous as any ever found. From his home in Spain he journeys to the markets of Tangiers, and from there into the Egyptian desert, where a fateful encounter with the alchemist awaits him.

Love the contrast between the first and last, between the tradition-steeped history and the political uncertainty of the area as a whole. Two great shots exposing two different realities of one region.
