DREAMING OF BETTER TIMES . . .

These 3 chairs are some of the loneliest seats in my town. Even though they are inside they truely are outside, outside of the world looking in. This is the front window of 1 South, the hospital's psychiatric ward, and I have seen people sit and stare out for hours. Some patients aren't allowed outside and for them these seats are thier window into the world. I know this because I have sat in them as a visitor and a patient before. I wanted another image for this theme but after 2 nights of searching and coming up empty handed I came up with this, which I am happier with I think.
