San Isidro (1082-1172) was a pious christian farmworker and actually is the Madrid's Patron Saint. Its day is May 15th, so it was the day before yesterday. In this day everybody goes to San Isidro's fountain to drink its "miraculous water".
The leyend says that a drought year in which the harvest was going to be really poor, San Isidro beat the ground with his hoe and suddently gushed out a great spring of water that quenched Madrid's thirst for years. Some time after that the water serves for Spanish King Felipe III to recover his health. Because of this fact the water is considered miraculous.
