Another voiced concern over the rise in global number of refugees and displaced people, which hit 67 million, last year.

In a report on its website, the United Nations (UN) High Commissioner for Refugees, Antonio Guterres, warned that the rise was swelling those under its charge to an unprecedented number.
After a five-year decline in the number of refugees between 2001 and 2005, we have now seen two years of increases, and that's a concern. We are now faced with a complex mix of global challenges that could threaten even more forced displacement in the future, Guterres said.
He added that conflict, bad governance, environmental degradation due to climate factors and inflation in food prices threaten to uproot more people from their homes.
