Candid, SoHo

2006.11.14

I had a classmate who likes to do candid with a leca and 50mm lens. I always wonder how it's like and tried it today with my 350d and a 28mm lens. The result is... the blurriest bunch of pictures I ever took(including my cellphone pictures). But 2 did came out close to be sharp and photoshop to the rescue...

michaelczhang I like these shots. I hope you do more.

It's like seeing the street of a city through the eyes of another.

marcolivier People are great to look at when they don't know they are being photographed... good job!

pandorasbox i like them, too ... not very long ago i read a booklet wrote by a guy who's very involved in street photography, using leica as your classmate - his street photography shots are absolutely remarcable - but he practiced a lot, so it's a matter of time until you learn to do it right, and then again i think the 350d is a bit too big for experiments like this (i have a 300d and that's a tiny bit bigger)

anyhow, i hope you'll keep on trying - your start is good

james077 This is not the first time I do candid, I actually had my final porfolio in intro photography make up of candids(sort of). But I usually do it with 28mm on film, which is acceptably wide angle. On the 350d is kina wide, so you need to point toward the subject more, which make things a lot more difficult.
