Hitting the trails

This weekend I had the kids again, so we hit the trails in search of adventure in my 4x4. Here we have one of the many new friends we met alone the way! This little guy was trying to get across the trail to the water. We stopped and said hi and then sent him on his way.

Our journey this weekend took us up to Big Bay and onto the Triple A road. Not that its a road really, more like an ATV trail in a lot of places. Here we stopped at Black Creek and checked out the water fall.

We took the Triple A over to Black Creek Road and then all the way over to L'Anse from there. Some of the spots on the trail were pretty rough. I was surprised the new truck was able to handle the logs, big rocks and mud as good as it did considering the 2.5" lift kit isn't installed on it yet.

Here is another friend we met, well... almost ran over really. This hole was dug right on the road and we were doing about 55 when Amanda saw this guy peeking out. We slammed on the brakes and went back to make sure I didn't squish the little guy.
