This is one of my all-time favorite photos.

It was taken in July 1974 on Cadillac Mountain overlooking Acadia National Park in Maine. It is, in my humble opinion, one of the most beautiful spots on Earth.

At 1,532 feet, Cadillac Mountain is the highest point along the North Atlantic seaboard. It is largely composed of pink granite.
