As we start a new year I thought I would post a tribute to the great pictures and photographers of the past.
I happened upon a picture book from 1960 and decided to take pictures of my favorites.
While we have all the conveniences of the digital world, we can't forget that we don't need all that to take great pictures.

I agree... I think the old photos have something that most digital shots lack. If I could define it better I'd take better photos! :-))

I am just realizing that these pictures are half a century old, and I not only was alive then, but I can also remember things from that time... frightening realization of how time flies unnoticed...
