There is nothing quite as American as square dancing. And there is nothing more unique than the colorful outfits of the dancers! I had the good fortune to run into an international square dance convention with my camera in tow. They were all very happy people having a great time!

Jeff, you have no idea how much I enjoyed this bold, bright post. I love the focus that emphasizes the movement in #1 & 8, plus the "tip of the hat" to the bolos! Here, they do square, round, and clog dancing - and I would often have requests on the radio to play something they could all dance to in their homes! Ah, Americana! And Happy 4th to you, Sir!

Jeff - this is fantastic. Full of color and what America is. People doing what they do - that is what they want to do! Thaks for this great reminder of the beauty and freedom of America! BTW - do you always save the best photo shoot locations for yourself??????

I have never heard of square dancing before TFS I really like first one ,how you have managed the blurred focus around the frame .
