Flying jetski and traditional boat race....

Every year, in the first week of August we have a traditional boat race around Martinique. Lots of people follow that race on the sea with all types of boats and on jetskis too, and also from the shore.

The sea goes crazy, it's a hive of activity, a mass of bobbing ships of all shapes and size... !!! you have to be very careful, but fortunately we have very few accidents...
It's lots of fun and those on these traditional boats are real athlets !
This very popular sporting event is unique to Martinique, in that these boats exist nowhere else in the world.

(I have to say those pictures were not taken the same day, not even the same year, and of course not at the same place. But same event. So, depending on the weather (cloudy or not), on the depth the sea, and on what's at the bottom (white or grey sand) the colour of the sea changes. Obviously, with photoshop corrections... it happens that it gets a bit saturated.... )
