Wow, Jen.....There's no way these could be any more lush, vivid, and just down-right gorgeous! I've never seen anything like this before..... Here's a stupid question, and you can laugh all you want: I'm assuming that the bananas are the green things that look like bananas to me. And I recognize flowers on it. But what is that large purple part? All 3 are spectacular.....but I think my favorite is the last one.

If you look at the 2nd one you'll see at the bottom of the flower a green part, that part grows and give the banana, then another part under the purple gives flowers and other bananas, you can have many rows. When all is done the whole branch with all the bananas, called "le régime de bananes", is cut and so is the entire plant also, as another one grows already at the bottom (I forgot to put it). One "tree" (plant) gives one regime and that's it.

Devines? J'en mange maintenant. Mais les bananes en Angleterre (importees, bien sur) n'ont tout a fait pas le meme gout que celles du pays. Belles couleurs encore une fois. Belle photographie. Super photographe!

Love these Jen!! I was so excited when I was in Japan and saw the bloom on the banana tree. It is so big and impressive and the color of the bloom is just gorgeous!!
