Wine is good : )

When I was in Santa Maria this past summer I went to several wineries around Solvang and Paso Robles. (No, I did not do the Sideways wine tour, I thought that was a little too hokey, although I did eat at the Hitching Post which was REALLY good.)

I forgot how we found Pipestone winery. I think we saw a sign and thought it would be interesting. Little did we know that it would be a bit of a distance to get to but it was well worth it. I fell in love with the place as soon as I saw it. Pipestone is a nice, homey little winery with some farm animals and of course a great big friendly dog. We wanted to stay away from the big commericial wineries as much as possible so this was a great find. I hope I'll be able to go back and this time have some pictures of the place.

I love this Zin! They thought they had sold out their stock of '04 Zinfandel but they found a few more cases hidden away and so put them up for sale. If I could buy a case, I would. So good...
