easter candy

I love holiday candy. I think because I rarely got any kind of candy or sweets at home so I only got to gorge on candy during the holidays when you would buy it for your friends and give it out at school. I used to love Bunny Munny and those chocolate eggs they always made us sell as a fundraiser in elementary school (can't remember the brand name). I think one time someone gave me a really beautiful sugar egg with a little sugar bird inside. I have a vague memory of one but I don't know why...

I actually thought Peeps were kind of yucky (still do a little, actually) but then someone told me how they only like to eat Peeps stale. She told me they get nice and chewy if you slit the package open and let it sit in the cupboard for a few days. Intrigued, I bought a small package of Peeps (the little bird kind) and thought I would give it a try. I love stale Peeps! I don' like soft marshmallow but it's great when it's chewy! I like the bunny Peeps better because they get stale evenly, unlike the bird shaped ones. I haven't had any Peeps in a while now but I saw them sitting on a shelf in all of their sparkling neon glory so I decided to buy some. Now they're sitting on my desk, slowly getting stale.

I was going to buy some Bunny Munny too but these peanut butter M&Ms were on sale.
