EWP 42nd anniversary visionary awards

Tonight was East West Player's 42nd Anniversary Awards dinner. Award recipients were Carrie-Ann Inaba (judge on dancing with the stars) Velina Hasu Houston (really awesome playwright, among other things) and a dance group called JabbaWockeeZ (they won the reality show competition "America's Best Dance Crew" on MTV). They did a really great job organizing the event this year, it was a lot of fun! I got to reconnect with a lot of people that I hadn't seen in a while and meet a lot of new people as well.

Unfortunately I don't have any good pictures from tonight and I didn't think to take pictures with people...arrrrgh! I start talking and then I forget to take pictures. There were a lot of celebrities there but I'm not one to go up to them and ask if they'll take a picture with me.

I feel so lucky to be able to be a part of all of this. I have become friends with so many great people through EWP and made connections with people that I may otherwise have never met. More and more I feel the pressure to use this to my advantage rather than just sit and do nothing, which is what I've been doing for so long! Shame on me.
