film

I was going to wait until I actually had a print from this roll to post something for today but I'll do that later, I suppose. I still need to develop this roll but I've just had a hard time finding time during the week to go to campus and do it. I guess I can just take it somewhere but I really want to try developing it myself.

I had an interesting time trying to buy this film. I bought a lot of other supplies and told thy guy at the counter that the last thing I needed to purchase was some film. He doesn't ask me what I need but just picks up this random roll of film, plunks it down on the counter and says "if you're a student, THIS is what you need." Of course it wasn't. When I tried to get the film I needed, he gives me this incredulous look and says "Are you SURE? I mean, that film is really only if you're going to develop it yourself and community college beginning courses don't do that anymore. I would prefer to see your syllabus before I sold this to you." What?! I can't believe this guy was for real. I know he (supposedly) knew more about photography than I did but I didn't really appreciate the attitude. Why do people who feel like if they know a little bit more about something than you do think they can talk down to you and say "you don't know what you're talking about so I'm going to tell you." Honestly. I don't know why I keep running into people like this all the time. Well, definitely won't go back to that store, that's for sure!
