Day one of my great adventure started out on a bit of a gloomy note: chilly, rainy weather, last-minute chores and a broken Clive. (Broken by my own idiocy - no surprise.) Add the general verklempitude of leaving Madison and my good friends, and I was more than a little teary.
I owe a great debt of gratitude to Christy who kept me sane on the final day and provided me with a brilliant care package: sunscreen, caffeine & dental gum were only some of its elements.
Thanks to Christy's heroism in the face of my drama-queen ways, Scream and I did manage to begin on roadtrip, albeit a few hours behind schedule. Viva la road!
