The day started out gloomy thanks to the June gloom. We didn't mind overmuch; it was still gorgeous in a craggy, harsh way.

I took approximately 10,000 photos of crashing waves. Because I am a dork. I enforced some self-restraint in posting, though, so gold star for me.

The east coast seaweed I grew up with wasn't nearly so colorful.

Diane and me - glamorously windswept as we make our way down to attend the film festival. Ooh, la la!

After Scream made multiple attempts to kill Diane and reclaim his seat, he was deflated and shoved in the trunk. We still took him out to admire the scenery on occasion, though.

A lovely shot by guest photographer, Diane! She was all that is gracious and kind as I kept shoving my camera at her and screaming things like, "that shot - aim there! oh, no there, there!"

Diane and I left Salinas in the morning and took the Pacific Coast highway to Morro Bay on our way to Los Angeles. Thankfully we allowed ourselves lots of time since we kept pulling over to drool at the landscapes (and, I suppose, seascapes) every five minutes or so. It's a wonder we even made it to Los Angeles that day.
Diane and I are on the lookout for any foolproof get-rich-quick schemes or lonely, egregiously wealthy men who don't believe in prenuptials. Help us with either and you'll always be welcome at our sprawling Big Sur estate.
