Me and my baby

Today, my baby graduated preschool. He is officially a Kindergartner now. I am soooo proud of my little guy. He was in the "Monkey Class" this year and they named all the kids something like, "Athletic Monkey", "Giggling Monkey," well....Nick was "Charming Monkey" because of his sweetness and dimples. I love it. Nick's ceremony was absolutely adorable. The teachers made a wonderful slideshow to songs that they play in the classroom that the kids love. They made a CD for each family which was so thoughtful. Each child got to come up and accept their diploma and Ms. Dee said something lovely about each child and also what their future occupation will be. Nick wants to be a fireman. Afterwards, we had a nice reception with cookies and lemonade. It was so nice yet bittersweet. Nick's preschool is absolutely wonderful and I will miss going there 3 times a week. I cannot believe my baby will be riding the big yellow bus to school in a few months. Where have all the years gone?
My big boy, Michael, had a great day at school, too. They had a Japanese Tea Party in their Art class and I took in a crockpot of Teriyaki chicken. Michael, after living in Korea and Hawaii is quite adept at chopsticks and he had to open everyone's chopstick and teach them how to use them. He also ate everything even the spinach salad which grossed most of the kids out. I've always enjoyed his diverse appetite and encourage the kids to always try new things. They both eat things that most kids their age do not. So, it was neat to hear that.
Today was gloomy so we just hung out in the house and relaxed all afternoon. We deserve it because we've been sooooo darn busy!!! Looking forward to the sun, hopefully, coming out tomorrow.
