Just another day

After I got Michael on the bus, I crawled in bed with Nicholas and we cuddled and slept in. The day was very beautiful and sunny albeit a little chilly. Me and Nick had a "hang out" day. In the afternoon, my friend Lisa came over and somehow spent 4 hrs here and we chatted, it was very nice to catch up with her. A bit later, we took Michael to softball practice. He really has a great time playing sports. Nick kept himself busy throwing the ball and then running after it. It was so chilly that I sat in the car. Weird for June, I think.
Once we got home, we spent about 20 minutes kicking a soccer ball in the driveway. Having fun w/my boys.
Now, it's about bedtime. Not a very busy day. Not a very accomplished day. But, very pleasant. We do miss Mike, though. We talk about him all the time. Nicholas even wrote Dad another letter. He is so anxious to learn to read and write and so I found all these workbooks that we've bought and that his school has given us. My goal is to teach him to read and write well enough to write his Dad a letter this summer all by himself. He does pretty good right now and he learns by my telling him which letters to write and in which order. And, his favorite part is putting the stickers all over the envelope. He is so sweet and thoughtful when he writes.
