Fun Friday

It was a beautiful day and the boys both had school events in the great outdoors today. It was Nick's last day of school and so they had a picnic. Lots of good food and treats. Nick sat with his best buddy, Sam. Then, he had a great time jumping in the bouncy castle. Soon, it was time to head over to Michael's school for their Field Day. The kids in his class had snacks too (popcorn, snowcones, etc.) and had jumping castles, races, etc. Nick got to participate and thought he was very cool doing so.
Once we got home, I did more housework and then went outside to weed the gardens. While we were outside, Michael noticed baby birds in the nest in the tree by our front door. I got up on a ladder as close as I could (being afraid of heights and all) and took a cool shot. Looks like there are 3 very hungy babies in there. The mom is a bright red cardinal and she was bringing the babies worms except when I interrupted her for a few Kodak moments.
We went to bed early so no movie night. We have a busy day tomorrow.....
