Friday Night Little League

The boys had Vacation Bible School this week and today was their end of week program. Great timing because although Mike had a doc appt this morning (needed some pain pills to alleviate the pain in his back from the simulated humvee roll-over the other week!), he was able to make it in time for the program. It was sooooo cute!
After that, we had a mini-cookout on our back porch with hot dogs. And, did some yardwork while the kids played in the slip-n-slide. Mike also cleaned out the gutters that were full of those maple "helicopters." Nice to have him home!
Then, Mike took a big ole long nap with our little Pickle. I had to finally wake them up to leave for Michael's softball game. It's the only game Mike will see this season and Michael was nervous! But, he did really well and the team won again and now have a 5-0 record! It was so neat to see so many people that we know and they all greeted Mike and asked how he was doing. It was fun for Mike to "coach" 1st base, too. I have a neat pic here with Michael at bat, Mike at 1st base and an American flag flying in the background.
After the game, we went to our favorite "after game" hang-out, Milano's and had pizza, played trivia and Pac-Man.
Overall, a lovely day! :)
