Lots going on!

Wow! Michael had another day of basketball camp and me and Nick were out of the house all morning running errands. About the time I got home, the answering machine was FULL of calls I needed to return. A friend called to invite my boys to the pool and was that a blessing! I dropped the kids off and then had the entire afternoon to return calls and get mail and paperwork situated. I'm not sure anybody in my life will ever know what it means to me that they take on the responsibility of entertaining and caring for my kids so I have some free time. It's a massive blessing when you're a single parent.
In the evening, we went to another Deployed Spouses Dinner. Mike asked me to call a co-worker's wife and invite her. I did and she came. I feel like I was part of a fateful intervention. She is very pregnant and her husband just left on a short notice deployment and they weren't quite ready for baby and, in her condition, she was stressed. So, this dinner was a nice outlet for her and not only did she get to make new connections but our organizer even offered to go to her house to move furniture to get the nursery ready. Again, another blessing. Sometimes, all you do is have to ask and you shall receive. I laughed so much at our dinner, too. Sharing stories with 6 other women in the same exact boat I am in. We can soooo relate to one another and I laughed more tonight than I have in over a week. Felt so good!
Then, after the dinner, Michael had a LATE softball game at 8:30. I just love going to these Little League baseball games. These kids try so hard yet are still developing their skills. Yet, they are able to demonstrate a very entertaining competition. I love it!
After the game, we went thru a drive-thru and ate dinner about 10:30 at night.
Ahhh!!! Summmer nights! :)
