T-ball, pool and shoup park!

On the run! We slept in late after being up till 1 am. We didn't get up till 11 am! People think I'm lucky that my kids will sleep so late after being up late. Well, I think I'm lucky too!! :)
Went to Nick's t-ball game at 1 pm. It was too H-O-T but still fun. Nick was up to bat only once but hit it good and made it to 1st base.
After the game, the boys said it was so hot we should go to the pool. I called some people I knew but nobody was available or didn't answer the phone. But, we got to the pool and the 1st family I called decided to come out anyway and surprise us!!! HOW WONDERFUL!!!! My boys had an absolute blast with their kids and I really, really enjoyed talking to the parents. I think this couple, being military, just KNEW and felt that spending time with us would mean a lot to us so they did it. It brings tears to my eyes knowing that there are people that really care and reach out to our broken family right now. They may never know how much simple things like SPENDING TIME WITH US means!!!!!
We all had so much fun at the pool. Got a lot of sun and cooled off and exercised, etc.
After the pool, we cleaned up a bit and met a new friend of mine at Shoup Park to eat a drive=thru picnic and play and go down that slide with wax paper. It was so neat to chat with a new friend and between the 2 of us, we had 6 kids and she is alone and so am I so it was so special to pass the time together on what would normally be a lonely Saturday night.
I really am reaching out to people and spending time with people and getting to know people I would not normally. It has been so fun and meaningful to me and the boys. :)
