Helping out

I'm really getting behind on this blogging right now. My plate is very full.
This morning, my phone starts ringing and it's a gal I met at the deployed spouses dinner last week. She is heavily pregnant and was having complications and was in the hospital. When I met her, I told her to call me if she needed anything. So, she did. She asked if I could watch her 11 yr old son for the day until the doctors figured out what was going on w/her. So, we jumped in the car and went and picked up Harrison. We were a bit anxious wondering if he'd get along with us but the boys hit it off almost immediately bonding over DragonBallZ. We had Harrison all day and Michael was in heaven with a 10 hr long playdate. Nick had a sports camp in the morning so it was just a busy day with boys. Here is a pic of Michael with his new friend! Victoria ended up being ok and went home the next day. Lucky for her, her mother had come into town early. I'm sure it helped calm nerves that they weren't waiting hours for a doctor's decision and test results with a bored 11 yr old boy all day long at the hospital. Glad to help!!!
