Pool and Bunco

Today we just relaxed in the morning. Then, we went to the pool! The boys had a great time. This is the very first summer I can remember when I was able to take my boys to the pool and actually relax. For the last 10 yrs, going to the pool meant sitting at the edge of the baby pool or the shallow end watching like a hawk that a big baby head wouldn't get submerged. Michael is a very adept swimmer, at the age and he is teaching Nicholas how to be safe in the water and supplementing what Nick has already learned in previous swim lessons. So, as I was watching them, I realized that they are ok. I don't need to watch them every single second and worry. It's been a long 10 yrs. And, I enjoyed the few chapters of that book I read today poolside! :)
Then, I went to play Bunco with a group of ladies that have just been established to start a Bunco club. It was fun and we're going to do this once a month and take turns. I got a babysitter for the boys and essentially had a girls night out. It really needed it and it was nice to get dressed up and go out for a bit.
Tomorrow is another busy day!
