Rainy Days

Today we had a full schedule with a deployed spouse event on base and then a t-ball game. Well, it was so cloudy when I got up that I thought it was still nighttime. Soon after, the sky opened up and it was thundering and lightening all afternoon. T-Ball was cancelled and I did not want to drive in torrential rain with potential for hail on my car so we did not venture to the base. We stayed in and the boys played video games and I started strumming on my guitar. Mike bought me a guitar for my bday almost 2 yrs ago and I have yet to figure it out. I bought the book "Guitar for Dummies" and on this rainy Sat, I sat down and learned how to play a song. It felt good to sit by the window w/the rain pouring down and immersing myself into the instrument and learn something new. The boys were even able to sing along, at some point. Old McDonald had a farm......... :)
