Lizzi's post yesterday made me think of my oldest toy. My doll was made in 1957 and was called a Toni doll because it came with its own Toni home perm kit (which of course I was never allowed to use!) My father brought it back from America. It caused quite a stir as there was nothing like this in Australia - it was a couple of years before Barbie dolls were invented.
