Careful where you step !

Some of you fellow Bloggers, will know I have a passion for my Feathered Friends, and have posted several lots of photos of my local Rainbow Lorrikeets. Most of the previous photos have been taken in the afternoon, when the back of our house is in slight shadow. I had a brainstorm the other morning and got my camera ready for when I was going to take out the sugary drink for my little pals.
I put 2 dishes of raw sugar water out, one on the back step landing, the other on a tray in the nearby tree. I suppose, if I was smart, I would put the dish in the tree first, but I usually put the first one on the landing, which then makes it very difficult to get past the birds, without stepping on them. They don't seem at all fussed, with me going in and out while they fight their way to be in front and get a drink. The antics of these little birds are great fun to watch. Our granddaughters love to see these friends. The noise is quite unbelievable, as they all squawk and shout at each other.
