Then and Now

2009.05.05
View from the Skillion in 1961. The car at bottom of hill, is my father's 1956 Ford Customline and the young girl is my sister. Note the tents erected on the right side, in what was a camp ground.

A similar view from the Skillion, taken last year when we were there. Quite a difference to the football/cricket ground at bottom of hill,,,,,even sealed road surfaces instead of dirt. The car at bottom of hill this time, is my Holden Commodore Wagon.

My father sent me a CD with family slides on it. This is disc 1 of 3 he has scanned, the other 2 discs should come next week.
I was quite excited and glad to see these old pics of our family going back to 1960. I'll post more, here when I go through them and find the interesting ones.
These two, are of the same place, almost the same shot, taken from the "Skillion" at Terrigal. See the difference between then (1961) and now (2008). The young girl in the 1st pic, is my sister.

relee Whoa, Glad to see your back... It's really neat that almost 50 years have past and you took the same shot, and why not it's a very nice place. :))
