Porth Penrhyn on the Menai Straits.

An old quay side crane, rusty and largely unused made it as the subject for today as I was in Bangor for a meeting.

Not the best of shoots, careless framing of shots and wrong use of the light.....serves a purpose for 365, but not at all happy with this set :(

I like the monochrome shots a lot. Nice set. This set make me think of an Norwegian song by the group DDE, called Vinsjan på kaia. I guess you don't understand, even with the Norwegian text. It's about a young boy, standing on the quay, watching ships from all the world, dreaming of going to all this places, buy a ring for his girlfriend. They also sing that the Beatles never played as beautiful as the sounds from the crane and winch at the quay..... It was just a instant memory when I saw the images. Ole365 · 2010-03-15: 20:04
