ERR 99 is the devil...

was out shooting the komen 5k run in the middle of town when my 40d took a big crap on me and kept displaying "ERR 99: turn off and reset the battery" or something like that. tried all the different on-the-spot solutions to no avail while missing my friends running by. even getting home and upgrading the firmware didn't help. so now it's gotta go back. at least it's under warranty. damn you, ERR 99.

good thing i have the bestest buddy that let me borrow his old xti that he happens to still have. i had the same camera for a couple years, i'm sure i could survive a couple weeks without the 40d. thanks, eric.

later that night, i got to use my drunken-photography-while-playing-rockband skills with some of the riding buddies...
