this was the first car that came barrelling through. shooting this was interesting, as we were right next to the road, and i had to duck at the last second every time a car came by to protect the camera from being pelted by rocks and showered with dust.

i think this is the most mud i've put on her since i got her. not all that bad, but considering i'd never usually take her through kinds of roads, i thought it was picture worthy. rick, the regular mazdasnw.com detailing guy's going to have his hands full after this weekend.

went out to aberdeen to watch the 2008 olympus rally. rally car racing with world class drivers like ken block was awesome to watch, but i think what made the day was drive in and out with the other mazdasnw.com guys. we went from highway driving to off-roading our cars (over 8 miles of muddy, pot-holed roads on a very narrow and intimidating service) and back again. i actually feel kinda bad that i abused the car so much today, that i'll have to be ginger with it for a while. a long, fun day was had, though, especially with how great the weather was.
I like this set. You have some really good photos in this set. I love the cars. I don't think I have seen something like this as close as you have. You really can tell you enjoyed yourself.
