it's not enough that my day job calls for being in front of the computer all day. now i've added another monitor at home to work with.
it'll be a ton better than the old laptop screen for color management.

I know the feeling. I too have two monitors on my desk at home. A widescreen to look a sourcecode on and my smaller monitor to look at the window I am writing the code for. The setup comes in handy for other situations as well.
