an engine torque damper...

2009.05.20
all the parts that went into the install.

the damper itself taken apart.

everything installed.

what does it do? it lessens engine shake. why would one want this? there's a lot of power lost in that engine shake that could be better used being transferred to the wheels. when you step on the gas, a stock engine actually moves around A LOT under the hood. you're just not aware of it because you don't see it. with this torque damper, there's a more immediate response when you step on the gas, as well as more umph transferring to the wheels - resulting in a) more efficient use of fuel and b) more fun on the go.
