lacy's diy helmet repair. her shield flew off during one of the first sessions, and this was her fix up job. worked pretty well, considering what awaited her later in the day.

gracie, our pit dog. poor thing was spazzing out due to the heat affecting a metal rod she has in her rear leg.

the kiddie pool! major heat relief, thanks to lisa, who had the bright idea of bringing it. the inflatable palm tree behind her is actually a cooler, which we managed to keep stocked with ice throughout the day.

lacy had a getoff right before lunch, ending her day. she came out pretty much unscratched and the bike was surprisingly undamaged, other than a few scrapes and a broken peg.

it was a few degrees cooler this day, and having gotten myself familiar with the track and having a ball helped get my mind off the heat.
the kiddie pool and blocks of ice we had around the pits didn't hurt, either.
3 thumbs up for oregon raceway park, for sure, though. the most fun track and most technically challenging i've ever been on. of course, i've only been doing pacific raceways so far. definitely going to make this a regular visit.

Wonderful set and story! Looks like you all had a (hot) blast! Great action shots in 11, 12, and 13.
