This is a saga!!!........ my friend purchased for himself a bargain!!..... a 2nd hand car lift!!!

Well he said me and YOU are going to find out....
Oh right.......... well........ after some 3 months since first placing it into his workshop, purchasing a new motor, then a new drive pulley, then new control gear, then installing a bigger supply to the workshop, then welding repairs to the worm drive, then blowing up a motor capacitor, then replacing said capacitor, then nearly breaking a drive chain, then realising we needed to load the lift more carefully................. it worked!!!!
One 2.3 tonne landrover up in the air of which I can easily walk under (and did.... confidence in our work ????)
Goes without saying we were quite chuffed..... and to be frank... it is still a bargain!!!............. just..LOL

Goodness sounds like alot of work to replace parts and fix! Glad it is working could you rotate my tires now?? LOL Good for the both of you!! SheriJ · 2008-02-27: 15:53
