Took this shot in the early evening.... had to use the built in flash and got as close as i could (and dared!!) using the max focal length available... the trusty monopod was a must!!;.....this image is cropped from original |
Rather a wet May for once.... the "garden pond" getting filled somewhat early...... roughly 8" of water in it!!...... the barrow has become a "water feature" too!!!!!!!!!!!

My little retreat, my base, my get-away from everybody..... cozy and full of character..... and so often a mess!!!!..... LOL

i like the bit of blur in the first one...gives it the feel of the motion. you have a very nice hide-out.

Hi jim I'm catdad a very good friend of patty's, that strange looking tree is more like a bush, I believe its a cousin to mahogany, its called manzanita and mostly thives around the western US and mexico, its very flammable in nature and does not help our local wildfires, But it has a plus I use it on my BB-Q to add a sweet smoky infusion to what ever is on the grill. It transalates from Greek to mean bearberries enjoy cd

What a nice mix of shots. I just love the first one....that's cutting a tight corner alright! Great bee shot and I also like your retreat! BTW, catdad (Neil) is a walking Wikipedia on most things. I'm not surprised he beat me to the info! ; ))
