I took these firework shots, obviously on July 4th in my hometown. Normally, I take my camera with me but I either don't use it at all, or, I use it to snap some family shots but never fireworks. I don't know why but I've been shooting images for more than thirty years, and I don't have ANY Firework images--how weird is that?
So, this year, off we went to the fireworks but this time I opted to take my camera AND my tripod with my cable release. I set up as close as possible to the launching area and just started popping images. I've put the relevant camera and exposure information below each image.
Quite frankly I was very, very pleased with the color, exposure, and the sharpness of each image. These are only the first three I picked out of the 106 shots I now have cataloged in my Lightroom library.
