Tonight's Moon Rise (The Super Moon)

I drove down to cape may nj to photograph the moonrise. I knew EXACTLY where it would appear as there is AN APP FOR THAT, and I was prefocused, and setup long before the event began. I just got home about an hour ago, and uploaded. These are straight from the jpegs, no editing, no nothing but what the camera did internally.
All shot on AUTO white balance except for the last one here. Nikon D700, Nikon 70-300 Racked out to 300mm, ISO 200, Preset at F8, tripod, Mirror up, remote release. No filters needed. |

Tungsten setting on the camera to adjust the white balance. It was, to my eyes, pitch black

Wow!!! The pictures really turned out amazing!! I tried to take a pic... but my lil nikon coolpix just couldn't capture the beauty of what I was seeing.
