That´s the comercial airport in the foreground sticking out into the Beagle Channel. Ushuaia is crammed in inbetween the mountains and the water.

We didn´t get many good views because the clouds were always so low, this is the terminus of a glacier (i think).

A random lighthouse along the way. I was surprised to see it because there is basically no civilization along the way.

I think this is Puerto Eden, the only town on the way from Puerto Natales to Puerto Montt, only connected by sea to the rest of Chile

This shipwreck is from the 60´s, the captian sold the cargo of sugar from Brasil in Argentina, he then had a great idea to sink the boat and collect the insurance... unfortunately the water is shallow and it just ran aground and stayed there. he got put in prison for a few years. and the boat is still there

The Polish guys were curious about sea sickness, so they didn´t take any medication when we crossed the gulf of sorrows and out into the open ocean. It was really rough, we basically would skip down the back side of the swell as we passed it. The captain considered turning back several times but kept getting bad weather reports from a light house keeper further north. So we kept going. A few horses on board died crossing the gulf of sorrows, probably a mix of being underfed and being tossed all over the place for 15 hours.

The aerial shots are from around Ushuaia in Argentina. It´s the southern most city in the world, and pretty amazing. I was there for 3 or 4 nights and then went into Chile, first to Punta Arenas and then to Puerto Natales. I took a ship from there for 4 nights to Puerto Montt. Then I was in Puerto Varas for a night and then took a bus up to Santiago. Pictures from Santiago and afterwards will follow!
