Last Night I saw George Thorogood at the House of Blues in Atlantic City. Tremendous raw blues performance it was a memorable evening. This is my 3rd time seeing Lonesome George and the Delaware Destroyers seems like about ever 10 years I see him in concert. They have been playing together for 35 years.
In the middle of a set the music stops, George pauses and asks the crowd, "Are ya havin a good time tonight"? Hell Yes ! I am still smiling. What a great bar band.
The played nonstop for over 2 hours with 2 encores; the last encore was 3 songs. All the favorites were played with the audience participating with many of the lyrics. Favorites like "One Bourbon One Scotch One Beer", "I Drink alone" "Get a haircut" "Who do you Love" and "Move it on over" being big crowd pleasers along with a tribute to Johnny Cash.
If you get a chance have a drinks and go see George live before “you” or “he” depart the planet.
