The grainery was the last building to go on my late grandfathers farmstead. The new owners wanted a fresh start from the ground up. Some see the old buildings as an eyesore, I see them as a vision of the past, hard work and tough people who knew what real work is all about. My parents still own all of the farm land which I hope will always be in the family. Every summer as I was growing up we visited the farm, I will always have fond memories.

Tell me it isn't so! They burnt the old barn down? Terrible!!! I know someone who took the wood from an old barn, wood worked it and now there whole house has it for flooring! Did you take anything from the barn? I think the barn has much more character!!! ????? · 2008-01-27: 12:07
