Fargo-Moorhead

2008.02.17
House in Moorhead along the Red River.

Moorhead, MN on the Red River.

Looking towards Fargo from Minnesota.

Hopperstad Stave Church Replica Moorhead, MN. Norwegian Stave churches were built just after the close of the Viking Age in Scandinavia in the 1100 and 1200’s. The technique of using vertical posts-or staves- had been modified over time to become wooden architectural works of art.

Hopperstad Stave Church Replica. The church in Moorhead is a full-scale replica of the Hopperstad Church located in the town of Vik, Norway.

My reflection at the front door of the courthouse.

Anheuser-Busch grain storage in West Fargo.

For my friend in Hackney.

What a difference from last Saturdays blizzard conditions to a balmy 33° today. It was a good day to get out for picture taking, just to bad the clouds were so blah!! With a short drive across the border to Moorhead , MN where there is a barn converted to a house I've been wanting to get a picture of. A few shots around Moorhead and back across the Red River to Fargo.

etodd80 I really like the way #2 turned out. Looks like a very old photo of a very old city (other than the cars). Nice set!

LOL. I love the black humour of North Dakota, where 33 degrees below absolute zero is considered balmy. " Let 'em bring on Hell boys, we'll whup that devil's beeehind reeeeeal good!"

So that's Town - Grain works, Dimestore, Chuch, Courthouse and Outhouse!. LOL. reckon it must be the people that makes it such a great place, huh. ?;o)
