Ansel Easton Adams (February 20, 1902 – April 22, 1984) was an American photographer and environmentalist, best known for his black-and-white photographs of the American West and primarily Yosemite National Park.

I would have to say that he has had the most influence on my quest to be the best photographer that I can be. There is always something new to learn and it is never boring to say the least.

GREAT photographer, I agree. I must admit that I forget the technical explanation, but I felt a 'little' better about what I can achieve when I heard (I believe it was in a photography class) that his method of photography allowed him WAY more range than we can possibly get with our cameras today.
