This summer I attended the Cindy Sherman exhibit at the Gagosian Gallery in Rome. In the series of photographs, Sherman uses herself as the subject but transforms herself each and every time to take on a new identity. In this collection, she is a series of grand dames and older women. Using her face, body, costumes and props she is amazingly able to make herself almost unrecognizable. Here are some highlights from the show.
