Day 22: Through the Fog

The Mount Comfort church & graveyard is near my office, and I've been here several times to photograph the old church. I'm fascinated by it and it's setting for some reason. There some solitary trees-in-field shots there, too; however, the fog was too dense to see them. I found some small trees closer to the road to shoot.

With a heavy fog enveloping everything this morning, I decided to stop by the church before going into work and snap a few pictures.

Location: Rogers, AR
Camera: Canon Rebel XTi
Lens: Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L

lgnelson Great shots! Good exposure of the whites in the church and fog. Wonder why a small church has two front doors?

jtnelso We might have to frame one of these. I'm a big fan!

BwannaDon I like this, quiet and unassuming architecture. Perhaps it is or was a Union church ( combination of Lutheran and Reformed) ? "When the church was built it had two front doors, and by tradition, one door was used by the Lutherans to enter the sanctuary and the other was used by the Reformed congregation. This was not an unusual arrangement in Union Churches." United Church of Christ, The Union Church.
