I saw these swans gracing a pond and immediately switched to by zoom lens, as they were fairly far off. As soon as I got into position to photograph them, they zoomed across the pond to about 3 feet from me. Which most people would be thrilled about. Except now I had the wrong lens on, and missed them skimming the water toward me. These guys (they're two different swans) absolutely LOVED having their picture taken...they just floated there throwing up poses for the camera. It was nice. But only after I switched lenses. Jerks.
