Horse #2 (very similar to #1). He was more stand-off-ish. But very intrigued by me.

Horse #2 (left) nipped at Horse #1 (right) when he tried to get the grass I was holding out to lure them toward me. Thus the lowered ears and cowering look.

But they quickly made up and touched noses. I missed the actual nose-touching, but got close.

Today, I planned on photographing a barn with the sunset behind it and a little reflective pond in front. Perfect setting, right?
Except when I arrived, I realized I left my tripod at home for a decent multiple-exposure image. Plus, when I pulled off the road, these 2 frisky horses galloped over to the fence and started sniffy me and my camera. They were extremely fun to interact with, and they were pretty playful with each other, too.
So, I was forced to simply enjoy a quick 3-minute photo shoot with these crazy fellas. I have a weakness for horses. Especially ones that aren't camera shy!
On a side note, these are the first images I've captured with my 7D that I think match the quality of the camera. The only editing I did was sharpening, and a little exposure adjustment.

They're so cute! They almost look like white mules with those noses and ears! :))
We're guessing that the reason you shouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth is that it might try to eat your camera! Although they weren't your intended subject, you captured them beautifully.
